Let me begin by saying this, what do you expect from a genuinely good love plot?- if your answer is somewhere around two people coming together, falling in love, getting married and living together for forever, then this film is not for you. It goes beyond the usual conventions about romance and love plots, its toxic, different but still so irresistable. 

Dhanush has definitely delivered love and hate both. He is that toxic hero young people read so much about in the dark romance novels. We wouldnt necessarily call this film a dark romance, because the auidence and the opinions are definitely divided. 

However, not just Dhanush, even Kriti Sanon's performance has been spectacular. The first half of the film is still more about two people meeting and flirting but the second helf is something you'd most definitely not be prepared for.

Nevertheless, this story is a fresh, if you loved the movie Saiyaara, you are going to be madly in love with this one. It will do everything for you, make you laugh, feel loved and also shake you from your very seats. It gives off everything you'd expect a good bollywood toxic romance to offer.

Its also important to note the entirely negative aspect of the film as well. It takes you for a ride through a complicated love story- one that is toxic for everyone around the main couple. People get hurt- almost extracting them of everything they had once been. The film, overall has too many emotions to deliver. 

The film is bold and a must watch if you're not sensitive when it comes to love stories. It is about a love that is going to consume you and eveyrthing about this film is going to linger with you for atleast a couple of hours after the film ends.
 
The background and the cinematic effects are beautiful but also haunting. We definitely witness an artistic blend that is going to shake you but also leave you for wanting more form their love story.

Lastly, the ending may leave you a little disappointed, asking for more but remember it was all about. alove that was both beautiful and destructive, to make you but also break you.
